Agilent Bioanalyzer and ImageQuant LAS 4010

Description:

A microfluidics-based system for sizing, quantitation and quality control of DNA, RNA, proteins and cells on a single platform.  The ImageQuant LAS 4010 is an imaging system for gels, blots and bacterial colonies that detects chemiluminescence, UV, visible and infrared fluorescence (including Quantum Dots) as well as ethidium bromide, silver and Coomassie-staining.

Location:
The Agilent Bioanalyzer will be located in room 431 of the Animal Sciences Lab and the ImageQuant LAS 4010 will be located in room 327 of the Animal Sciences Lab

Maintenance:
After the first year, the service contracts will be paid by the pro-rated user fees.
Access:
Users will be able to access a website (under development) to register for mandatory training and to use either instrument. There is an online scheduling system.
