Topic: “Power and Promise: Agrobioscience in the North Central United States”

Speaker: Simon Tripp, Battelle Memorial Institute

Mr. Tripp is the lead author of a recent Battelle report highlighting the critical challenges facing the globe that have their solutions rooted in agriculture and agbioscience. The report describes these multi-faceted challenges and highlights the key role of the north central region, as a hub of agbioscience R&D and agricultural value-chain activity, in addressing these challenges.  His presentation outlines opportunities for agbioscience-based development and highlights the challenges facing key institutions in the current funding environment.
