Animal Sciences Professor Kelly Swanson has been selected as the next Kraft Foods Human Nutrition Endowed Professor.

Kelly Swanson has been selected as the next Kraft Foods Human Nutrition Endowed Professor. A generous gift from Kraft Foods established the prestigious professorship in the Division of Nutritional Sciences in 2001. Swanson will be the third faculty member of the Division to earn this recognition, following George Fahey and Kelly Tappenden. Swanson, whose home department is Animal Sciences, is a world-renowned comparative nutritionist with unique expertise in nutritional genomics. His research is truly interdisciplinary and thus an outstanding reflection of our interdisciplinary nutritional sciences program. Professor Swanson’s official appointment as the Kraft Foods Human Nutrition Professor will begin Jan. 1, 2017, and is for a 5-year period. He will be formerly introduced as the Kraft Foods Human Nutrition Endowed Professor at an investiture ceremony on April 20, 2017.
